seeing all of u there (including the teachers who may be reading this) this evening was really touching, although i prob didn't get to speak to everyone personally. one of my science friends remarked something to the extent that it's because we're an arts class, our faculty is smaller, etc... now that's prob not true, but i know i'm fortunate to have known each of u.

having received countless calls, msgs and ppl asking over the past few days, i'd just like to reassure everyone that i'm holding up ok so far (until maths on wed that is). seriously, i hope we can all complete prelims together; we're more than halfway there already...

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:35, 37-39

Luke, take heart.. His love will not fail you. And we will try our very best to be good friends to you... praying for you!

luuuke..
we love you
and will all be there for you

Your mercy found me
upon the broken road
and lifted me beyond my failing
into Your glory
my sin and shame dissolved
and forever Yours i'll stand

in love never to end
to call You more than Lord
glorious friend

so i throw my life upon all that You are
cause i know You gave it all for me
and when all else fades
my soul will dance with You
where the love last forever

Luke: keep dancing... God will always dance with you. And so will we. =)

inspired by svengate, i've come up with a few anagrams of my own...

haha go check this out: arts faculty = truly as fact; science and mathematics faculty = clan aim: catch fascist enemy duet(?!) and for anglo-chinese junior college = ie. clone scholar in one juggle!! yes, that explains it. ok, they're quite out of point, but i just needed to get my mind off the books for a while...

come to think of it, we're 6 days to the prelims. what's more, it's also 4 days to my chess nationals. (could it be any worse?!) over the past 10 years, i've been part of many different sch teams: first in acps, then acsi, and finally acjc. and now, it all comes to an end at safra toa payoh this weekend. maybe it's apt that as i finish playing my last tournament (for acs, at least), i'll enter a new world almost immediately after. a world of exams, mock exams, and mock mock exams (we call them writing exercises).

however u look at it, of all the sacrifices between chess and studies i've made over the past 10 years, this - defending the sch's 'a' div team titles just before the prelims - seems to be the greatest. i'm not sure how we'll fare, but this represents the last time we'll ever compete together as a team. for everyone involved, i really hope we'll carpe diem. seize the day!

looking on the bright side of life, the new season is about to start! middlesbrough vs newcastle. chelsea vs man utd. expect fireworks. woooooooo!!!
